 Butterfly Education and Awareness Day takes place on 6 June 2015. Butterflies never get any less fascinating.  They are such captivating creatures and I always feel lucky to see one!
And there are so many different types!  From the yellow butterfly, to Skippers and Brush-footed butterflies.
Aesthetically pleasing, important pollinators, and excellent teachers of metamorphosis, the butterfly can be celebrated through a variety of activities.

The butterfly's life cycle consists of four parts: egg, larva, pupa and adult. Butterflies have large, often brightly coloured wings, and conspicuous, fluttering flight.

Butterflies feed primarily on nectar from flowers. Some also derive nourishment from pollen, tree sap, rotting fruit, dung, decaying flesh, and dissolved minerals in wet sand or dirt.
